6. He goes into the tall jungle and sits in a mat hung on the side of the open space in the forest.

1. Jack is hunting, he is hunting for the wild boar.
2. Ralph and Simon are trying to build huts and shelters.
3. There is nothing on the end of the spear to "catch" inside the pig. Jack has to put barbs of some sort on the end of the spear.
4. All the hunters besides Jack went to play, eat and swim.
5. Piggy is the one in charge of the "littluns". Piggy helps them gather the fruit.
6. Simon went into the jungle to a place that was calm and had sunshine and a canopy to lay in. It was his own secret get-away.

1.)As the chapter opens, Jack is scanning out the ground for tracks that would lead to the pig that got away in the last chapter.

3.) The spear has nothing protruding outward from the rounded sharp end, therefore the spear just slides out of the flesh.
4.) The hunters had gone to swim.
5.)Simon helps the littluns get fruit.
6.)Simon wanders off into the jungle at the end of the chapter.
