1. Sheis the mother of the vargas kids who live down the street. She cries because her husband left her without leaving any money.
2. Nobody cares beause they got tired of watching kids that aren't theirs. The society is lazy, bad, And people just care for themselves.
3. they are not very nice. The vargas kids go around destroying things like trees and bouncing on cars. They are turning bad along with the society.
4. She says he learned to fly and dropped from the sky like a sugar donut. HE fell like a falling star. The image is a kid falling down and splatting.
5. I think society should help children> The neighborhood did not do much for the kids they could have done more. I dont think so because it happened fast and probably unexpected

1.Rosa Vargas is a lady had so many children she didn't know what to do. She cries every day for the man who left her without even leaving a dollar or a note explaining why.
2.The children’s father got sick of all the children and just left.
3.Esperanza says that the Vargas children are lacking respect to others and their manners.
4.Everyone just gave up on the Vargas kids because they had no respect for anyone and they didn't listen.
5.The old women and Rosa both had to take care of their children without the father and they both were always tired.

Quotes:
1.They do not care about anyone; they hurt their selves even when people told them not to do something because they are going to get hurt. They still did it no matter what.
2.Sense the children never listened to them the people gave up worrying if they get hurt because they aren't even their children.

Themes:
1.The danger of giving up on children is the conclusion of them hurting themselves severely. Also they will never be able to gain respect of others if they can never show respect to others.
2.No one really seems to care about the death besides Esperanza because they all gave up on the children not listening to them.
3.What is happing to the Vargas family applies to the larger picture in society bye giving up on younger children can be bad because then children won't learn how to respect others nor their selves. They may also hurt others or them selves.

Style:
1.She uses that "he learned how to fly and dropped from the sky like a sugar donut, just like a flying star, and exploded down to earth without even an "oh"," this creates a picture of s child falling down from the sky like a comet.

Personal Response:
1.Society does have responsibility for children. Society teaches children things and expects them to know right from wrong, but sadly they don't. The neighbors should have told his mother that he wasn't listening to them before something like him dying happened.

4)Everybody in the neighborhood got tired of caring for kids that aren't even theirs.
5)The Old Lady in the shoe couldn't take care of all her children and neither could rosa Vargas.

1)This quote shows that the Vargas kids don't care about anything, not even their safety.
2)This quote shows that the people just stopped caring for kids so reckless and realized that if something happened to one of them, it would be the kid's own fault.
III.
1)Esperanza shows the danger of giving up on children is that eventually, they are going to get seriously hurt or die and nobody will care.
2)Angel Vargas ends up dying and Esperanza is the only one who cared. Nobody else cared because they knew it would happen and they stopped caring.
3)What's happening to the Vargas kids applies to the larger picture of society by showing that people are becoming reckless and care less about everything that goes on.
IV.
1)She says that Angel Vargas fell to earth like a suger donut or a falling star. This creates the image of something distant but coming fast falling to Earth.
V.
1)Society has a responsibility to children. Children need help growing up and the neighborhood could have urged Rosa to take better care of her kids. If the neighborhood paid attention to the other kids getting hurt, the other kids might have been more careful.

5. I dont know how the woman in the shoe handled her children but Rosa Vargas just tries to provide them with food and keep them alive but she can't control them.
