1. Aunt Lupe was a swimmer, that got a disease and is now dying from it and has been for years.
2. Esperanza believes this because she and her friends mimicked Aunt Lupe as a game.
3. From the reading, it seems like they were close enough. The read to eachother and recited poems and personal things like that. You would probably only show a side of you like that if you were close with the other person.
4. Aunt Lupe tells Esperanza to keep writing, keep writing.

1. Her bones go limp like worms, there is a yellow smell lingeing around Aunt Lupe, and he head is thrown back facing the ceiling.

3. Her aunt is dying of a very visual and physical death, Esperanza really sees her pain on the inside as well as out.

Personal Response
Everyone has mimicked or made fun of someone else. I certainly have. It depends on the person if I feel bad or not. I mean, people get made fun of for a reason, even if it is something petty.

I believe that people don't get deathly sick for a reason. I could go both ways on that matter. A lot of bad things happen to good people. I believe you make your own future and your own destiny. Chance, and luck only lead you so far.

Personal Response
I have mocked a person and then getting to know them have felt terrible for doing so before. I realized that people are deeper than they first appear and almost no one deserves to be made fun of or treated badly just because of first impressions.

I have made fun of someone before. And i do feel guilty after. I think sometimes people do it to make them selves feel better.I'm not sure why I have,it doesn't exactly make me feel better.I also believe disease is a chance sord of thing. There isn't much you can do to run from a sickness.

1. I have mocked people before but just for entertainment. I have not felt guilty about this and I obviously don't right now.



2. I believe that people get injured on pure chance most of the time but there are a lot of cases where you will see the that the injury was obtained by the person's actions.
